Step wise expla.:-

Cenroid divides the median in the ratio 2:1.

Hence, m:n=2:1

m=2, n=1

A(x1,y1)=(5,8)

D(x2,y2)=(2,-1)

Centroid G(x,y)

By section formula;

x= (mx2 + nx1) / m+n ; y= (my2 + ny1) / m+n

= (2(2) + 1(5)) / 2+1 ; = (2(-1) + 1(8) / 2+1

= (4 + 5) / 3 ; = (-2 + 8) / 3

= 9/3 ; = 6/3

x= 3 ; y= 2
