answer: let male member :::x

total male members 7x

ratio of male members after quit 5 x

total ratio - ratio after quit

7x-5x=2x (equation 1)

total quit members = 6 (equation 2)

by eq 1 and 2 we can conclud that

2x=6

x=3

so total male =21

similerly find female members

so answer a (15)

answer b (36)
