as ab is parallel to CD and ad is a transversal

angle A + angle D =180 (sum of angles on the same side of transversal is 180)

x+ 3x-20= 180

4x-20= 180

4x=180+20

4x= 200

x=200/4

x=50

The value of x is 50.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given information: In trapezium ABCD, AB║DC, ∠A=x° and ∠D=(3x-20)°.

\angle A+\angle D=180                  (Same sided interior angles are supplementary)

x+(3x-20)=180

4x-20=180

4x=180+20

4x=200

Divide both sides by 4.

x=50

Therefore, the value of x is 50.
