Answer:

trapezium area= 1/2×sum of parallel sides ×height

therefore,140=1/2×10×h

140=5h

140/5=h

therefore,h=28

Given : In a trapezium  the sum of the parallel sides is 10 cm and the area is 140 sq. cm,

To Find :   the height of trapezium

(i) 7cm

(ii) 40 cm

(iii) 14 cm

(jv) 28 cm.

Solution :

Area of trapezium = (1/2) ( sum of parallel side) * distance between parallel side

=> 140 = (1/2) * ( 10) * height

=> 140 = 5 * height

=> height = 140/5

=> height = 28 cm

Height of trapezium is 28 cm
