Correct Question

In a triangle ABC , ∠A = 80° ∠B = 60°. Identify the greatest side.

Solution:

Let the third angle ( ∠C ) be x°

According the question,

⟹ ∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180°

⟹ 80° + 60° + x = 180°

⟹ 140° + x = 180°

⟹ x = 180° - 140°

⟹ x = 40°

We know that,

In a triangle side opposite to the largest angle is the longest side.

So,here

∠A is largest and side opposite to it is BC.

Then, CA is the second largest side

and the smallest side is BC

AB > CA > BC
