AC is hypotenuse - the side opposite to a right angle.

Using Pythagoras' Theorem:

AC² = AB² + BC²

So, AC² = 3² + 4² = 9 + 16 = 25.

So, AC = 5.

as it is the right triangle so

(AB)²+(BC)²=(AC)²

3²+4²= (AC)²

9+16= (AC)²

5²= (AC)²

5= AC
