In a triangle ABC, D and E are points on the sides AB and AC respectively such that DE//BC, If AD/DB =2/3 and AC=18c.m,find AE.

Answer:

As we know that Similar arms of a similar triangle are proportional to each other. There are ∆ABC & ∆ADE are similar for same and similar angle. As the rule ,

AD/BD=AE/CE

I give you the answer in attachment image.Hope you understand and the answer I mean the length of AE is 7.2cm.
