In a triangle, the greatest angle is 20 more than twice the middle angle and the smallest
angle is 40° less than the middle angle. Find all the angles of the triangle. What type of
triangle is it?

Answer:

Let the middle angle be x

Then, greatest angle = 2x + 20

And, smallest angle = x - 40

In a triangle, sum of all angles is 180°

Adding all the angles,

x + (2x + 20) + (x - 40) = 180

4x - 20 = 180

4x = 180+20

4x = 200

x = 200/4

x = 50

Middle angle is 50°

Greatest angle = 2x + 20 = 2×50 + 20 = 120°

Smallest angle = x - 40 = 50 - 40 = 10°

This is a scalene triangle because all angles are different.

Answer:

Scalene traingle

Step-by-step explanation:

let the middle angle be x

greatest angle = 2x

smallest = x - 40

sum of all angles of traingle = 180

x+2x+x-40 = 180

4x-40=180

4x = 180+40

4x = 220

x = 220/ 4

x = 55(middle angle)

2x = 2X55= 110 (Greatest angle)

x-40 = 55-40 = 15(smallest angle)
