Step-by-step explanation:

area of the triangle = 1/2×b×h

===>1/2×(x+1)×(x+5). =30

===>x^2+6x+5=30×2

===>x^2 +6x+5 =60

===>x^2 +6x=60-5

===>x^2+6x-55=0

===>x^2-5x+11x-55=0

===>x(x-5)+11(x+5)=0

===> (x+11)(x-5)=0

===>when ab = 0 ,then either a=0 or b=0 where ab are real values

x+11 =0 and x-5=0

x=-11 and and x=5

x=-11 doesn't satisfy the given condition and length can't be negative

x=5 is the answer
