let the shortest side be x
then the longest side is x+2
the third side=1/2(x+2+x)=1/2(2x+2)=x+1
perimeter =(x)+(x+2)+(x+1)=3x+3

navyalakshmi702: can you explain me properly
AlbertEinstein1234: i have explained it below
navyalakshmi702: i could not understand
madhupriyanka: the longest side is 2 units is greater which means if short=x then long =x+2
madhupriyanka: third side =add the shortest ans longest divide by 2
madhupriyanka: perimeter =add the three sides
madhupriyanka: hope u understand
navyalakshmi702: thanks

The longest side = x

Shortest side = x - 2

Third side =  1/2 * ( 2 x - 2 )

= 1/2 * 2 ( x - 1 ) = 1 * (x - 1) = x - 1

Perimeter = x- 1 + x + x - 2

= 3x -3
