in a triangle the sides are 11,12,13 prove that the length of the altitude is 7.25 corresponding to the side having length 12​

Answer:

Area of triangle=1/2 ×base×height

=1/2×7.25×12

=7.25×6=43.5

From heron formula

s=(11+12+13)/2=18

Area=√18(18-11)(18-12)(18-13)

=√18(7)(6)(5)

=6√105

=6×(10.24)=61.44

Both area are not same.

Hence,7.25 is not corresponding to 12.
