We know that,

<X + <Y + <Z = 180°

[ Angle sum property ]

=> 90° + <Y + 48° = 180°

=> 138° + <Y = 180°

=> <Y = 180° -138°

= 42°

Therefore,

<Y = 42°

       sum of three angle of a triangle is180degree     x+y+z=180 degree   so 30 + y+90=180     y+120=180 so y= 180-120=60
