In a two digit number, digit at the ten's place is twice the digit at units's place. If the number obtained by interchanging the digits is added to the original number, the sum is 66.

  10y+x

Also,

=>11(y+x)=66

=>y+x=66/11

=>y+x=6

From equation 1,  x=2y

So, y+2y=6

=>3y=6

=>y=6/3

=>y=2

And x=2(2)=4

Hence the number is 42.

Number getting after interchanging digit= 10×(X)+2X

20X+X+10X+2X = 66

33X=66
X=2


Ten's digit is 2×2=4
Unit's digit is 2
