Answer:

The original number is 42

Step-by-step explanation:

Let digit in one's place of original number be "x"

ATQ, Digit in ten's place of original number will be "2x"

The original number is 10*(2x) + x = 20x + x = 21x

The number obtained by interchanging the digits will be:

10*x + 2x = 12x

ATQ, if the number obtained by interchanging the digits is added to the original number, the sum is 66.

=> 12x + 21x = 66

=> 33x = 66

=> x = 2

=> Digit in one's place of original number = 2

=> Digit in ten's place of original number = 4

The orginal number is 42

Verifiy:

Original number = 42

Number obtained by interchanging digits = 24

Sum of 42 + 24 = 66 (as given in the problem)

Hence, verified
