in a two digit number digit in units place is twice the digit in tens place. if 27 is added to it digits are reserved. find the numbers.

Answer:

let,

the ten's place digit be x

the unit's place digit be 2x.

The number formed = 10x + 2x

= 12x

On interchanging the digits, the number formed = 10× 2x +x

21x

According to question,

12x + 27 = 21x

27= 9x

3 = x

x= 3

The required number = 12× 3

=36.
