Let the two digit number be xy

ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION

y = x²

10x + y +18 = 10y + x

=>

9x - 9y = -18

=>

y - x = 2

y = x² put this value of y in above equation we get

x² - x - 2 = 0

=>

x² - 2x + x - 2 = 0

=>

x ( x - 2 ) + 1 ( x - 2 ) = 0

=>

x = -1 OR x = 2

For x = -1 y = 1

For x = 2 y = 4

So, the two digit number is -11 OR 24

-11 will be rejected becoz when we interchange the digits they remain same.

So, the two digit number is 24
