let the ten's place be x
the units place digit is double the unit place
so unit place=2x
so the number form is x.10+2x.1
10x+2x=12x
the no exceeds the sum of the digit by 18
12x-2x+x=18
12x-3x=18
9x=18
x=18/9
x=2
hence the no is 24= 2.10+4.1
