Let the tens digit of the number be x and ones digit be y.
Thus, number = 10x+y
According to question : y=2x ..............- equation ( 1 )
also 10x+y = x+y+18
On solving this we get x=2
putting x = 2 in equation 1 we get
y= 2x
y=2*2
y=4
thus number =10x+y=10*2+4=20+4
=24
Thus, number = 10x+y
According to question : y=2x ..............- equation ( 1 )
also 10x+y = x+y+18
On solving this we get x=2
putting x = 2 in equation 1 we get
y= 2x
y=2*2
y=4
thus number =10x+y=10*2+4=20+4
=24
