gaurav2013c: both the conditions given in the question are satisfied by 28, that is, unit place digit is four times of the tens place digit ( 8 = 4 × 2) .... and... sum of digit is equal to 10 ( 2 + 8)

Let units digit place be x.

Let tens digit place be y.

Given that the digit in units place is four times the digit in the tens place.

= > x = 4y  ------ (1)

Given that the sum of digits is equal to 10.

= > x + y = 10

= > 4y + y = 10

= > 5y = 10

= > y = 2

Substitute y = 2 in (1), we get

= > x = 4y

= > x = 4(2)

= > x = 8.

Therefore the number is 82.

Hope this helps!
