and then the second number = (6-x)
therefore,the original number= 10(6-x) + x
                                              = 60 -9x
interchanged digit = 10x+6-x
                               =9x+6

(60-9x) -18= 9x+6
42-9x= 9x+6
42-6= 9x+9x
36=18x
2=x
therefore the number = 60-9x
                                    =60-9*2
                                    =42
