let digit at ten's place be x

digit at one's place be y

x+y= 12→(1)

x=3y→(2)

putting this value of X in (1),

3y+y=12

4y=12

y=3

digit at one's place=3

digit at ten's place= 3×3

= 9

thus, the required number= 93
