In a typical monohybrid cross the f2 population ratio is written as 3:1 for phenotype but expressed as 1:2:1 for genotype. Explain with the help of an example.

this is because the phenotype or physical characteristics is 3 tall and 1 short which is the ratio 3:1
In genotype or genetically the ratio will be
1BB :2Bb:1bb hence this ratio is 1 :2:1
