Heat is a kind of energy that flows around us in three ways which are Conduction Convection and Radiation..

Conduction happens only when things touch,i.e,when there is a direct contact between atoms which transfers energy

On the other hand convection is a kind of heat transfer due to the movement of a liquid or gas for example-direct contact. If you switch on a fan heater, it blows hot air through a grille into your room.

Radiation is a little bit different . on contrary to the above two methods energy here is transferred in form of light,,example of sunlight which goes through vaccum.

Now since Conduction and convection transfers heat with the help of conact and atoms their defeciecy in vaccum prevents this transfer,..
