In a vegetable shop, a kg of peas cost 3 times as much a kg of potatoes. And a kg of onions cost twice as much as a
kg of potatoes. Varun bought a kg each of peas, potatoes and onions, and paid Rs. 72 in all.
How much does a kg of potatoes cost in the shop?

Let the cost of potatoes be X.

Cost of peas = 3x.

Cost of onions = 2x.

X + 3x + 2x = 72

6x = 72

X = 12

The answer is rs 12.
