we can simply solve the above problem as follows -

Let the total land of the villa be x.

Therefore,

fraction of Land that is garden = 2/5 of x = 2x/5

the Fraction of the swimming pool is 1/3rd of garden

Land of garden = 2x/5

Therefore,

The land occupied by swimming pool = $\frac{2x}{5} \times \frac{1}{3} = \frac{2x}{15}$

$fraction \: of \: swimming \: pool \: = \frac{land \:occupied \: by \: swimming \: pool }{total \: land}$= $\frac{2x}{15} \times \frac{1}{x}$$= \frac{2}{15}$
