Answer:

c 1800

Step-by-step explanation:

total number of people = 3000

number of male = 2/5 of 3000

therefore no of males = 1200

number of female = number of people - number of male

= 3000- 1200

=> 1800 ans

There are 1800 females in that village.

∴ Ans: c) 1800

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that,

Total number People in the village = 3000

Out of 3000 people 2/5 are male.

Hence, the number of male members = (3000 × 2/5)

                                                              = (600 × 2)

                                                            = 1200

∴ There are 1200 male members.

∴ The number of female in that village = (3000-1200)

                                                                = 1800

∴ There are 1800 female members.

Hence, option. c) 1800 is the correct answer.

It can be done except calculating the number of males by fractional method, let's check that process as well_

Let the total number of member in the village be 1 part

The number of  male is 2/5 part

∴ The number of female is (1-2/5) part

                                           = (5-2)/5 part [∵ The L.C.M. is 5]

                                           = 3/5 part

We know that,

1 part = 3000 people

Hence, 3/5 part = (3000× 3/5) people

                          = (600×3) people

                         = 1800 people

Hence, the number of female in that village is 1800.
