Let M be the mass of the water at height h it has potential energy mgh.

   

                                                J=M/H=mgh/ms0=ghs0=(10ms−2×100m)/(1000calkg−1°C−1×0)

4.2=(10×100)/(1000×0)=1/0

teperature change=1/4.2=0.23°C

Its temperature will rise upto 0.23 degree celcius.
