When position of galvanometer and battery are interchanged in a wheatstone there is no difference in voltage and deflection in galvanometer is also zero. We have:--

In attached figure's case (a), the deflection in the galvanometer is zero as there is no current flowing through the galvanometer in a balanced Wheatstone bridge as the voltage on both terminals of the galvanometer is the same. Since the voltage differential in zero, there will be no current.

In figure's case (b), the positions of the battery and galvanometer are interchanged, which makes no difference in the voltage difference as the values of resistances and battery remain the same. So the new deflection of galvanometer will be zero.
