In a year Ravi earns * 4,00,000 and saves 1,50,000, find the ratio of
(a) Money that Ravi earns to the money he saves.

(b) money that Ravi saves to the money he spends.​

a) 400000 / 150000 = 40/15 = 8/3

Therefore the ratio of money that Ravi earns to the money he saves is 8:3

b) the amount of money that he uses = 400000 - 150000 = 250000

so the ratio of money that Ravi saves to the money he spends is 250000 ÷ 400000

= 25 ÷ 40

= 5÷ 8

= 5 : 8
