in a yellow basket no. of orange are 1/4 more than the no. of oranges in red basket. if in red basket 3 orange are less than the yellow basket. find the number of orange in yellow basket.

so oranges in yellow basket = x + 3

according to given condition ,

x + x/4 = x+3

5x/4 = x+3

5x =4x +12

x = 12

oranges in red basket = 12

oranges in yellow basket = 12+3

= 15
