20% reaction complete in 10sec
∴in 1 sec =20/10=2%
→for 50% reaction complete in=50/2=25sec
Therefore it will take 25 sec for 50% reaction to complete

Hey Dear,

◆ Answer -

t = 25 s

● Explanation -

Let x/xo be percentage decrease in concentration of the reactants.

For a zero order reaction,

∆x/xo = -kt

For ∆x/x = -20%,

-20% = -k × 10

k = 20/100 × 10

k = 2

Now substitute k = 2 for ∆x/xo = -50 %,

-50% = -2 × t

t = 50 / 2

t = 25 s

Therefore, the reaction will be half completed after 25 s.

Thanks dear...
