Answer:

First find third side which is easy by Pythagoras and it will be 10 .

Use the fact that tangent drawn from external point to circles are equal in length .

As you can see

10 - (6 - r) + r = 8 \\ 2r = 8 - 4 = 4 \\ r = 2
