ASSOCIATION BETWEEN ALGAE AND FUNGI-
symbiosis is the association between algae and fungi they both help each other.
HOW IT IS BENEFICIAL TO EACH OTHER
as algae have chlorophll so it is able to make their own food
but fungi does not have chlorophll so it doesn't able to make its own food
as algae does not absorbs water and water is important to complete the process of photosynthesis as fungi was able to take water so fungi take water and provide it to algae then algae make food and help fungi.
both the combination is called as LICHEN
it comes under the process of symbiosis where both the combined organism help each other for survival.
