              Altitude CE =4.5cm​

Area of triangle = 1/2 x base x height

In ∆ABC, consider BC =  base and AD = height then,

Area of ∆ABC  = 1/2 x 9 x 6

Area of ∆ABC  = 27 cm²        

Now, if we consider AB = base and CE = height then,

Area of ∆ABC = 1/2 x 12 x CE

27 = 6 x CE

CE = 27/6 = 9/2 = 4.5 cm

Altitude CE =4.5cm​
