In ΔABC, AB = AC and ∠B = 65°, then ∠A = ____°

kashaf2633: where to ans
kashaf2633: angle c = angle b

because angles opposite to equal sides

are equal

so angle c = 65°

angle a = angle a + angle b + angle c =

180

angle sum property of triangle

angle a + 65° + 65° = 180°

angle a = 180 - 130

angle a = 50°

hope it helps

Answer:

Since, AB = AC, therefore, ∠B=∠C

By angle sum property of triangle,

∠A+∠B+∠C=180o

70o+2∠B=180o

2∠B=110o

∠B=55o

Hence, ∠B=∠C=55o

In ΔABC, AB = AC

=> ∠ABC = ∠ACB

∴ ∠ACB = 65°

Let ∠A be x°

Now, ∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180°

=> x + 65° + 65° = 180°

=> x = 180° - 130°

=> 50

∠A = 50°
