given= ABC is a triangle. where

AB=AC.

In triangle BAC and triangle ADC

angleA=angle D ( both are 90°)

angle C=angle C ( common angle )

so triangle BAC=~ADC(by AA criteria )

AB=AD

According to the right angle triangle rule

In triangle BAC

AB^2+AC^2=BC^2

AD^2+ AC^2=BD.CD

HENCE PROVED
