DB is the altitude of triangle ABC. Base is AC = 25 cm. Hence height of triangle DB is given by 1/2 x height DB x base AC = 35 sq. cm

i.e. 1/2 x DB x 25 = 35 sq. cm.

25 DB = 70

DC = 70/25 = 2.8 cm.
