Given : in ∆ABC, AD is an angle bisector.

AB =18cm , AC= 24cm and BD =12

To Find :  CD

Solution:

Using angle bisector theorem

AB/AC  = BD/CD

=> 18/24 = 12/CD

=> 3/4  = 12/CD

=> CD = 12 * 4/3
