Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

• AD perpendicular on BC.

Therefore, Angle ADB = 90°

• AB = AC

• Angle BAD = 40°

Now, in ∆ADB,

→ Angle BAD + Angle ADB + Angle ABD = 180° (Since, sum of all interior angles of ∆ is 180°)

→ 40° + 90° + Angle ABD = 180°

→ 130° + Angle ABD = 180°

→ Angle ABD = 180° - 130°

→ Angle ABD = 50°

Now, as it is given AB = AC,

Therefore, Angle ACB = Angle ABD (Since, they are opposite angles of opposite equal sides of an Isoceles triangle).

→ Angle ACB = Angle ABD

→ Angle ACB = 50°

Therefore, the measures of Angle B and Angle C are 50° and 50° respectively.
