In ∆ ABC angle B = 90° seg BD is the median,
If AB = 3, BC = 4, then (BD) =?​

Answer:

AC² = AB² + BC²

AC² = (3)² + (4)²

AC² = 9 + 16

AC² = 25

AC = √25

AC = 5

In △ABC,

∠B = 90°, AB = 3, BC = 4,AC = 5

SinC =  \frac{AB}{  AC} \:  =  \:  \frac{3}{5}  \:  \:  \: → \: 1

In △BDC

∠BDC = 90°, BC = 4

SinC =  \frac{BD}{ BC} \:  \:  \:  \: → \: 2

Comparing 1 and 2

 \frac{3}{5}  \:  =  \:  \frac{BD}{4}  \: → \: BD \:  = 3.4
