In ∆ABC, angleA=angleB + angleC. angleA = 90°. If it further given that angleB = 2angleC, find angleB and angleC.

Answer:

Let angle B be x

and angle C = 2x

angle A = 90° (given)

ATP,

angleA + angle B + angle C = 180° (A.S.P)

=) 90° + x+ 2x = 180°

=) 90° + 3x = 180°

=) 3x = (180 - 90)°

=) 3x = 90

=) x = 90/3

=) x = 30 .

therefore, angle B = 30° and angle C = (30×2)° = 60° . (Answer )

and , angle A =90° = angle B + angle C = (60+30)° = 90° . Hence Proved .
