In ∆ABC, D is the midpoint of base BC. DE and DF are perpendiculars to AB and AC respectively such that DE = DF. Prove that ÐB = ÐC.

Given : DE and DF are perpendiculars to AB and AC.

To proof : DB = DC

To prove : In Δ ABC ,

Δ BED is congruent to Δ CFD

side DE is perpendicular to side AB

side DE is perpendicular to side AC

Therefore, side DB = side DC
