In ∆ABC DE||BC ,if AD=3cm ,DB=2cm and AE=2.7cm,then AC is equal to:
A.6.5cm
B.4.5cm
C.3.5cm

In ABC & ADE

angle A = angle A (Common angle)

angle ADE = angle ABC (DE// BC alt. int. angles)

ABC 〰 ADE (AA Test)

Therefore

AD/AB = AE/AC (csst)

3/3+2 = 2.7/AC

3/5 = 2.7/AC

AC = 5×2.7/3

AC = 13.5 ÷ 3

AC = 4.5
