Since AB=AC, ∆ABC is an isosceles triangle.
Then, ^C=^A ( sides opposite to equal angles are equal).
^A=48°
By Angle Sum Property, ^A+^B+^C= 180°
^B=84°.
Then, ^C=^A ( sides opposite to equal angles are equal).
^A=48°
By Angle Sum Property, ^A+^B+^C= 180°

Solution....
In triangle ABC,
AB=AC (given)
•°•angle B= angle C (sides opposite equal angles are equal)
•°•angle B=48°
But, angle A+B+C=180° (ASP)
Angle A+48°+48°=180°
Angle A+96°=180°
Angle A=84°
