Heya Addison,

ABC is a right-angled triangle.
∠B is 90° .
Side AB = 4cm and side BC = 3cm.

AC is the hypotenuse.

To find AC, applying P.G.T. ---

⇒ (AC)² = (AB)² + (BC)²
⇒ (AC)² = (4)² + (3)²
⇒ (AC)² = 16 + 9
⇒ (AC)² = 25
⇒ AC = √25
⇒ AC = 5

Hence side AC is 5cm.
