Here AC is the diameter of the circle.So since angle B = 90°
Therefore, by Pythagoras theorem:
AC² = AB²+BC²
AC² = 5² + 12²
AC² = 25 +144
AC² = 169
SO,AC = 13 cm
Now putting the formula:
a+b-c/2 = (5+12-13)/2
= 4/2 = 2 cm
