SOLUTION :
CONVERSE OF BASIC PROPORTIONALITY theorem :
If a line divides any two sides of a triangle in the same ratio then the line must be parallel to the third side.
GIVEN :
CA = 16 cm, CP = 10 cm, CB = 30 cm and CQ = 25 cm
To find whether PQ || AB , we have to use converse of BPT to check that the sides are in the same ratio.
CP/AC = 10/16 = 5/8
CQ/CB = 25/30 = ⅚
CP/AC ≠ CQ/CB
Hence, PQ is not || to AB .
