Answer:

69

Step-by-step explanation:

Let no. of goats be x

Since we are given that  a total of 80 animals were purchased

So , no. of sheep = (80-x)

Since we are given that price of each goat is 2500 rupees

So, cost of x goats = 2500x

We are also given that the sheep's value is 7500 rupees

So, price of (80-x) sheep = 7500(80-x)

Now we are also given that a total of 80 animals were purchased at 255,000 rupees.

So, A.T.Q

2500x+7500(80-x)=255000

2500x+600000-7500x=255000

-5000x+600000=255000

600000-255000 = 5000x

345000= 5000x

\frac{345000}{5000}=x

69=x

Hence He bought 69 goats .
