Given :      ∆ADE ~ ∆ABC

AE=10,BC=3.5 , DE=7

To Find  :  the AC=?

Solution:

∆ADE ~ ∆ABC

AE/ AC  = DE/ BC

=> 10/ AC  =  7 / 3.5

=> 10/AC = 2

=> AC = 10/2

=> AC = 5

Hence AC =  5 cm
