as we know

perpendicular to line bisects chord

.: QM=MP=1/2QP

.:in triangle OMP by Pythagorean theorem

op2=om2+mp2

25=9+mp2

mp2=16

mp=4cm

now

QP =2MP

=2*4

=8cm
